Personalised nutrition is rooted in the concept that what works for one person doesn't fit all. This concept is not new, but we have now technologies such as Omic Sciences, allowing us to determine individuals’ health status and propose dietary and lifestyle interventions based on each one’s physical and behavioural characteristics.

This allows us to be able to provide individualised advice to each individual based on its physical and behavioural characteristics, such as their genotype, lifestyle, preferences and physical condition to achieve a dietary and lifestyle behaviour that maximises its health in a sustained and lasting manner.

Under the framework of PREVENTOMICS project, a biomarker-based ITC system to deliver tailored dietary and lifestyle recommendations was developed and validated in three interventional studies with individuals from four different countries.
